3rd trimester

Oh my goodness! We are in the home stretch before Baby C gets here. Less than 3 months left...
I'm starting to get a little nervous about getting everything done before the baby gets here, but I think we will get it all done. Dan and I finally started our registry at Babies R Us and ordered the nursery furniture, so I guess we have started getting ready.

In other news, we finally rented out our house in Phoenix! It's such a relief to have that done, so we are not paying 2 mortgage payments with no income... Hopefully everything will go smoothly with the tenants and next year when the lease is up the housing market will be in a much better place.

We are off to Phoenix this weekend and I am so excited! I miss all our friends there so much and can't wait to catch up with everyone. We are also planning a last minute trip to San Francisco and Napa. We'll see if we can pull it off before I am to humongous to fly!

Ordered nursery furniture

We ordered our nursery furniture today and it should be delivered in 4 - 8 weeks. Here's a picture of what we ordered, but it will be in Cherry wood ins tread of the ebony. I'm starting to get excited about decorating the room and getting it ready for Baby C, but I also have no idea what I want to do with it! My mom and Erin are going to help me paint when they get back from their trips at the end of the month. So I guess I need to decide on paint colors soon. We will also try to get our stuff together and register this weekend. I'm starting to freak about all we have to do before the baby gets here, but I'm sure it will all get done.

We went to go see Cirque du Soleil last night with JP and Seah which was really fun. The baby was moving around like crazy during the whole show, so I told Dan that we should buy the CD, since Baby seemed to like it, but he said that it was probably just the loudness of the music, not the music itself... Who knows what it was, but Baby was liking it!

Under 100 days! 98 days until Baby C gets here!!!

We had a fantastic Mother's Day yesterday. Dan and I hosted a brunch for my mom, Dave, Erin and Curtis and it was so much fun to all get together at our new house. Dave and my mom are taking off to Canada and Erin and Curtis are going to Utah, so all my family will be out of town for awhile.
We then went to Dan's parent's house for dinner (after a nap for me, of course...) Tons of fun and people and by the time we got home I was pretty wiped out. But it was a great day and a little strange because by the time next year we will have a baby of our own and I will officially be a mother! Still getting used to that idea and probably will be for a long time.
We have been so busy on the weekends these days, unpacking and getting the house in order) that I'm almost relieved to get back to work during the week - it seems like a break. I'll post some pics this week of Mother's Day. Hope you all had a great one too!

Lots of Updates!

I haven't written in awhile because we have been soooo busy! We finally moved into our new house on 4/26 and couldn't be happier about it. It was a long weekend and unfortunately I was not much help, but we did have a lot of help from our friends and family. Thanks goodness for good friends!
We are slowly getting unpacked and hosted our first poker night on Saturday. It gave us more motivation to get more stuff put away, so at least 2 rooms in our house look nice (living room and kitchen.) Here's a couple pictures of our first poker night and Dan's new Poker hat.


Dan has been a mad man on the unpacking front, while here again, I am very little help... I get in bed and he goes to town, so when I wake up in the morning more and more stuff is magically put away - it is fantastic!
We are going to host Mother's Day Brunch for my mom on Sunday, so that will also make us get some stuff around the house done.

We had another doctors appointment today and everything is still looking good. Baby C's heartbeat was 150 bpm. It took a few minutes to find the heartbeat and when the nurse did, we could hear the baby kicking in between beats. It was crazy that you can actually hear the kicks! I go for some lab work in 2 weeks and for my next appointment in 3 weeks - I can't believe I will be in the 3rd trimester soon. Time is sure flying - only about 104 days until we meet our baby!

I've been promising for awhile to post a belly picture, so here it is. Dan took it on Friday night before we went to see Baby Mama (really funny!) and I thought I would share. Please ignore the stupid look on my face. I'm starting to have trouble bending over and my balance seems to be a little off (although I've never been graceful!) Dan has been very sweet - he keeps reminding me I'm not fat, just pregnant so that is always nice to hear.
